ABOUT US

Art and Adventure is a Guest House where we, Lisa and Siem, organize weeks around the themes Art and Adventure to give you an unforgettable holiday. We are dutchmen who have swapped our cold and rainy country for a residency in the sunny south of Spain.

"Art" is taken care of by Lisa. She has followed a part of the drawing teachers training first and second degree. She has been working as a freelance graphic designer and did apart from that on standing order airbrush work, portraits and paintings. Lisa has been practising amateur dancing for years, like: modern dance and flamenco. Her interest for flamenco and the Spanish culture started already in her teenage years.

"Adventure" is under control of Siem. He is a genuine motor cycle freak, as a driver as much as a mechanic and he has built several unique motor cycles himself. Specially his wide experience in driving on all that's motorised and have two to four wheels, makes him an outstanding quadbike tour companion. Siem has been many years very active in martial arts like judo, taekwon-do and aikido.

Together we cruised through Spain on a trike, looking for "our spot". We both fell in love with the Alpujarra mountains. We bought a big cortijo (Andalusian Farmhouse) with citrus and olive orchards. We have been renovating a part of this cortijo as a Guesthouse.
